If you hit a small pothole be prepared to replace the hub, and possibly the c/v joint. I really like the rear door opening to the side. I do think it looks nice from the outside. I would highly encourage anyone (even my worst enemy) to avoid purchasing one of these like the plague. The ride is very rough, even after replacing the suspension, and all the body mount bushings to the frame. The door unlocks have to be hit 3 times in order to unlock all the doors. The seats are uncomfortable after about 5 min. The lights in the dash for the buttons come on and go out whenever they feel like it. the mirrors vibrate when you are driving. It is very hard to see out of the windows. Many issues with the traction control coming loose at the rear differential. It eats tires like no vehicle I have owned before. Please don't take this vehicle off road as if you need some power to get over an obstacle you will be replacing the driveline c/v joint and possibly the whole driveline. I would highly encourage anyone (even my worst enemy) to avoid purchasing one of these like the plague.ĭriving it from USA to Costa Rica.
I know when things settle for me and I'm not in such a pinch I will be visiting Ted again to get my next vehicle which will be newer and a higher budget purchase. The car is a pile of junk. By far the most laid back enjoyable buying experience I have ever experienced! Aside from that Ted has cars of all budget ranges, I bought a 2001 Toyota Camry which is what was in my range and fit me needs, but he also had Hondas, Minis, BMW, Super Duty Trucks, so this is quite possibly a one stop shop to find your next car. Ted and his crew there are all great hard working and above all honest! Absolutely no pressure environment, it felt more like going to a friends house to buy a car, only he has hundreds of cars there to check out.
The car was everything I was looking for and needed.

He walked me to the car asked for my license and got a plate to get me driving right away.

He gave me he full run down and I was on my way! Upon arriving he greeted me outside personally, and they were very busy at the time. So I told him I would like to come in and check it out, Ted said I'll put it on hold, we will treat it as sold untill you get to come and drive it and make a decision, he also answered my questions about being from Wisconsin and buying in Illinois. When he got back on the phone he informed me that all the basics were working, windows, sunroof, a/c, horn, ect. Without hesitation Ted told me he had not had the opportunity to drive that car yet, so he asked to put me on hold so he could go out and gave it a good once over. I told him I lived in Monroe and it was about a 2 hour drive to get there and I really didn't want to waste my Saturday and all the gas to drive down there and it have some issue that would be a deal breaker. I called after they opened and got Ted on the phone, who happens to be the owner, and asked a simple question what can you tell me about the car that the pictures don't tell me. Having a poor experience in Milwaukee I decided to look in the Chicago area and I'm so glad I did. I found a nice camry at Elite Car Outlet. my options were basically Milwaukee or Chicago land. I had to get out to 100 mile radius to find anything in my budget. Living in Monroe Wisconsin there isn't a lot of options for low budget cars.
